David "Big Dave" Buchanan Sr.

Gastonia, NC David "Big Dave" Buchanan Sr., 59, passed away June 24, 2013 at his home. He was born July 17, 1953 in Gaston County, son of the late Ray and Margaret Sue Moore Buchanan. A graveside and interment service will be held 11 am on Friday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Leon Humphrey. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Smith Buchanan; son, David Buchanan Jr. and wife, Nicole; daughters, Wendi Roxane Buchanan, Christy Owca and husband Scott, Lynn Ceol; sister, Joyce Scott and her husband, Jesse; six grandchildren.
