David Costner

David Elijah Costner, 77, of Gastonia, passed away March 21, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

He was born May 5, 1940, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Jacob E. Costner and Evelyn Elmore Kirksey.

David is survived by his daughters Guinn Haskins, Cindy Head and Husband Alan; son-in-law Mark Haskins; brothers Jacob Costner; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren all of Gastonia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Costner; brother Carl Luther Costner and sister Bertie Ruth Russell.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Danielle Hammett, will be held 3 pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – West Chapel 216 Archie Whitesides Rd.., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
