David Lee Collette

A Gaston County native, he was born March 21, 1957, son of the late Johnnie and Helen Collette.

David was a member of Christ Fellowship Community Church.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and all-around outdoorsman.

He was an employee of Pharr Yarns in McAdenville for over 10 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Collette was preceded in death by his sons, David Dwight Collette and Mitchell Collette.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Cindy H. Collette; sons, Christopher Collette and Johnny Collette, both of Gastonia; daughters, Amanda "Mandy" McAllister of Gastonia and Christie Tinkler of Dallas; sister, Linda G. Bodenhamer of Gastonia; and grandchildren, David F. McAllister, Christina Tyner, and Wyatt Tinkler.

A funeral service, officiated by Dr. Bobby Bodenhamer and Pastor Danny Stephens will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 South York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
