Darrius "DC" Carter, 59, of Dallas, Passed away January 28, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 10, 1958, a native of Gaston County, the son of Isaac Carter Jr. and Wyonia Mobley Carter.

Darrius was born in Gastonia, NC.

He graduated from North Gaston High School, Dallas, NC. and from KLLM Trucking Academy.

He retired as a truck driver after 30 years.

He was an advocate chess player, loving son, father and grandfather.  Darrius loved fishing and his greatest admiration was to make people laugh.  He loved gardening, we always said he had a green thumb and was always called on to plant the flowers.  He loved his son, aka "Boris" whom he loved dearly.  We'll see you on the other side, we love you! -The Family

Left to cherish his memories are his parents Mr. Isaac Carter Jr. & Mrs. Wyonia Mobley Carter; son Ra Shaun Leki Carter; granddaughters Ivie Kelis Carter and Khia Hickman; brother Mr. Randy B. Carter; sisters Ms. Darlene Carter, Anita (Thomas) Sharpe, Ms. Clarissa Carter, Julia (Damien) Robinson and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents James (Clara) Mobley and Isaac (Alma) Carter Sr. and sister Ms. Phyllis Carter Jackson.

A funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Judge Jesse Caldwell III.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
