Darrell Leonard Williamson

Darrell Williamson, 68, of Vale, NC, passed away, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.

He was born on October 14, 1956, in Gastonia, NC, to the late Leonard Williamson and Ruth Conners Williamson.

Darrell worked for Gaston County Schools for 34 years. He was the Chief of Rhyne Fire Department for six years.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Beth Williamson.

Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cathy Williamson; sons, Darrell Lee Williamson (Carrie), Christopher Williamson, Wayne Bridges (Crystal); daughter, Katie Angley (Mike); grandchildren, Angie Wingate (Sedrekus), Mikey Angely (Angel), Kelly Williamson (Noah), Chelsey Luckadoo (Austin), Vincent Melendez, Savanna Bridges; great-grandchildren, Se'Merica, Se'Miah, and Se'Riah Wingate, Maggie Watson, Lil Mikey, Jordan, Mallory Angely, Cadence and Caleb Williamson; special friends, Terry Love, Mark Moss and Doug Horton.

All services will be private.
