Darrell Wilson Sr.

Darrell Wilson Sr., 48, of Lowell, passed away October 20, 2017 at his residence.

A Gaston County native, he was born May 6, 1969, son of the late Daniel Pinkney Wilson Sr. and Linda Parker Hicks.

Darrell attended North Gaston Church of God.

He had a strong faith in the Lord.

He always had a positive, upbeat outlook on life and circumstances and was very giving to others.

Darrell will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sally Wilson of Lowell; children, Darrell Wilson Jr., Gary Wilson, Dillon Wilson, and Miranda Buchannon; three step-children; sister, Melissa Morrison; brothers, Daniel Wilson Jr., Pastor Andy Nicholson, and Brian Hannah; 13 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service, officiated by Pastor Andy Nicholson and Pastor Ted Smith, will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, at Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly.
