Darrell Boyce Phillips

Darrell Boyce Phillips, 67, of Gastonia, NC, passed away, Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at his residence.

He was born July 21, 1953 a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Everette William Phillips and Doris Eugene Smith Phillips.

Darrell loved his cowboy hat and boots. He enjoyed fishing and going to the park.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Ann Phillips; daughter, Wendy Kiser; great-grandson, Trenton Simmons Jr.; brother, Ricky Phillips; and sister, Debbie Lytton.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Amanda Harris and husband Bryan; brother, Edgar "Doug" Phillips and wife Nancy; sisters, Darlene Phillips, Gayvene Hoagland and fiancé Charlie Giles, Geneva Osborne and husband Kevin, Melissa Presley and John and Tammy Dover; grandchildren, Christopher Phillips Sr., Jeremy Thomas and wife Kaycee, Trenton Simmons and Brittany Harris; and great-grandchildren, Casidy, C. J., Emma, Thyler, Arianna and Dylan.

A funeral service officiated by Rev's, Larry Weber and Philips Lemmons, will be held 11 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
