Darrell Eugene Mckillop
December 21, 1958 — January 28, 2016
Darrell Eugene McKillop, 57, of Shelby, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 surrounded by his loving family after a battle with cancer. He was born December 21, 1958 in Gaston County, to the late Luther Eugene and Shirley Epperson McKillop.
In addition to being a devoted and caring son, Darrell loved the outdoors. His happiest hours were spent camping, fishing and hunting.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Shirley Epperson McKillop; sisters, Jean (husband Tony) Moore of China Grove, NC. Lisa (husband Glenn) Lovelace of Gaffney, SC; brother, Kenneth McKillop of Kings Mountain, NC and five nephews.
Darrell also leaves behind favorite aunts Emogene "Cricket" Bell and Ann Singleton, and special cousin Judy Bell Matthews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service – 1503 South York Road, Gastonia.
Visitation will be held 2-2:45 pm prior to the service.
