Darrell B. Brannon

Darrell B. Brannon, 55, of Gastonia passed away July 23, 2013 at his home. He was born September 26, 1957 in Alexandria, Louisiana son of the late Burnett Brannon and Laura Munn Hopkins. Mr. Brannon was a member of the Living Word Tabernacle, Bessemer City. Darrell was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains. The family wishes to express their thanks for the care provided to Mr. Brannon by the staff of Gaston Hospice. A celebration of Darrell's life will be held 11:00 a.m on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia officiated by Pastor Tim Humes and Associate Pastor Tim Hayton. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. Mr. Brannon is survived by: his loving wife of 35 years, Tammie Cooper Brannon; sons, Chad Brannon, Christopher Brannon and wife Kristen, Derek Nivens; sisters, Terry Baxley and husband Joey, Lori Holland, Teresa and Patricia Brannon; grandchildren, Erica, Justin, Olivia, Maddie and Aaliyah.
