Danny Osborne

Danny Osborne, 52, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on November 8, 1971, in Bowling Green, Ohio to Patricia Roe Osborne and the late, Daniel A Osborne.

Danny was a Gaston County Police officer for 25 years. He was a member of The City Church in Gastonia. He graduated from Campbell University in 1997, where he was an All American Heavyweight Wrestler. He and Sara were married in 1998 and made their home in Gaston County and started their family. Danny began his law enforcement career in 1999 where he served in many roles, including: Emergency Response Team, Patrol Sergeant, Vice Detective, School Resource Officer, Drug Interdiction, Field Training Officer, Honor Guard,and Marine Patrol.

In addition to his mother, Danny is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sara K. Osborne; sons, Danny Osborne, Jesse Osborne; daughter, Allie Osborne; brothers, Jason Osborne (Ginger), Steven Osborne (Stacie), J.R. Osborne (Christie), Brent Osborne (Erin); sister, Kellie Griffin.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo, will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at City Church, 3100 City Church St. Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. Law Enforcement Honors will be rendered by the Gaston County Police Department.
