Danny Kay Lunsford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Kay Lunsford, a beloved member of the Gastonia community. Danny was born in Gaston County, NC on December 18, 1954, and sadly left us on October 19, 2024.

A proud Army veteran, Danny served his country honorably and was discharged on May 24, 1977. After his military service, he pursued a career in the textile industry, working as a supervisor.

Danny's impact on those around him was profound, and he will be dearly missed by many, especially his nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Margie Lunsford; siblings, Jean Walker (Arnold), Tommy Lunsford (Pat), Eula Mosley (James), Elbert Lunsford, David Lunsford, Mary Pence (Dale), and Martha Lunsford; niece, Rada McGraw; nephews, Thomas Allan and Aubrey Childers.

Join us in celebrating Danny's life, which will be held at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, there will be a Visitation at the same location starting at 1:00 pm. Following the ceremony, Danny will be laid to rest at Gaston Memorial Park.
