Daniel Johnson

1943 - 2014 Daniel Johnson, 70, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. A Gaston County native, he was born June 15, 1943 son of the late William Johnson and Pauline Harwell Shives. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and was very handy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nellie Harwell. He is survived by his wife, Becky Johnson of the home; sister, Paula Redmond and husband Ed of Dallas; brothers, Charles Johnson and wife Leslie of Greenville, SC, David Shives of Gastonia; sons, Tim Johnson and wife Susan of Gastonia, Tony Johnson of Dallas; niece, Brandy Wilson of the home; special aunt, Margaret Kirkland of Gastonia; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service officiated by Pastor Sherman Branch will be held 4 pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 South York Rd, Gastonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson Hospice House c/o Gaston Hospice, P.O.
