Dana Jean Howerton

Dana Jean Howerton, 55 of Bessemer City, NC passed away in her home on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024. It is with great sadness that the family of Dana announce her passing.

She was born on Dec. 24, 1968 in Beckley, WV.

Dana was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Clinton Howerton and father Harold Howerton.

Dana was a huge animal lover and loved to rescue and take care of the cats around her home. Dana may have felt she was alone in this world, but she had many family and friends who loved her.

Dana leaves behind her companion, Ronnie Woods also of Bessemer City, NC; her children, Brittany Thornton (Luke) of Charleston WV, and Brandon Howerton of Lubbock, TX.; and her grandchildren, Tayven Hall, Brantley Hall, Zayd Clifton, Cayden Clifton and Harper Clifton; two sisters, Deanna Maxey (Bobby) of Crab Orchard, WV, and Lori Howerton of Coal City, WV; niece, Carrie Johnson (Brie); great-nephews, Atlas and Salem of St. Paul MN; and nephew, Scott Thomas, Jr. of Coal City, WV.

Dana will be cremated and as of now there will be no services.
