Dalton Jasper Wright

Dalton Jasper Wright, 17, of Hickory Grove, SC, passed away July 25, 2015.

He was born March 17, 1998 in Rock Hill, SC, the son of Jasper and Amber Wright.

Dalton was a member of South Gastonia Church of God in Gastonia.

He was an upcoming senior at York Comprehensive High School and a former student of Hunter Huss, where he was a part of the ROTC program. He was proud to be an American and a proud supporter of the second amendment rights. Dalton was very patriotic. He loved hunting and fishing; living the country life.

He was the jokester of the family and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memories, along with his parents are, his paternal grandmother, Nancy Lanier; maternal grandparents, Donald and Faye Ogden; sister, Celestial Wright; step-brother, Chris Childers; step-sister, Ashley Childers; aunts and uncles, Hannah and Artie Beaty and Eddie Wright; girlfriend, Joy Singleton and special cousin, Ellis Beaty. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Duke Wright; many great-grandparents and Aunt Michelle Wright.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday at South Gastonia Church of God - 310 Carolina Avenue, officiated by the Revs. Bobby Gilley, Sam Barnette and Carl Overton.

The family will receive friends 6 - 9 pm Tuesday at the church.

Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: South Gastonia Church of God, 310 Carolina Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28052.
