Dalton Edward Rayfield

Dalton Edward Rayfield, 94, of Bessemer City passed away Tuesday May 23, 2017 at The Robin Johnson House, Dallas.

He was born February 10, 1923 in Gaston County, to the late William Robert Rayfield and Callie Mauney Rayfield.

Dalton loved his family and gardening and his vineyard. He was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 14 years Pat Rayfield; sons, Doug Rayfield and wife Phyllis, Curtis Rayfield and wife Jane, Scott Rayfield; stepson, Max Baxter,Jr. and wife Mary Lou; stepdaughters, Denise Wallace and husband Walt, Kay Albright and husband Calvin, Cheryl Bartlett and husband David, Sandra Rosdahl and husband Henry; grandchildren, Douglas Rayfield, Wendy England and husband Jay, Callie Hahn and husband David, Lydia Alexander and husband Michael; 8 step grandchildren; great grandchildren, Spencer and Ethan Jarrett, Mallory and Joseph England, Christian and Landon Hahn; 9 step great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Cora Tate Rayfield; 3 sisters; 8 brothers; grandsons, Brian Rayfield and Randy Rosdahl.

A funeral service officiated by the Reverend Fain Farmer and Pastor John Harper will be held 2:00 pm Friday May 26 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church 5306 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Bessemer City, NC.

Visitation will be held Thursday 6-9 pm at the church.
