Dale Bryan Truett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Bryan Truett, who left this world on April 15, 2026, at the age of 64. Born on September 9, 1961, in Cherokee County, North Carolina, Dale was a devoted member of the Temple Baptist Church and was known for his faithfulness in participating in the men's Bible study class. He had a big heart and a love for music, sports, and his loyal dog, Bitsy.

Dale built strong friendships within the Myrtle Community and was a passionate fan of college basketball and NFL football. He was a hardworking man, spending many years as a forklift operator in the textile industry for his employer, Threads.

Dale will be deeply missed by his family, including his brothers Melvin, Cecil, and Floyd Truett, his sisters Brenda Johnson and Bonita Loos.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Mary Truett; siblings, Landace Truett, Martina Truett, and Evelyn Colvin.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Dale will be laid to rest at Gaston Memorial Park.
