Dale Robinson

January 15, 1954 — September 4, 2021

Dale Lee Robinson, 67, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

A Gaston County native, he was born January 15, 1954, son of the late Edgar Banks Robinson Jr. and Alma McSwain Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Berrier Robinson; and brother, James Edgar Robinson.

Dale was an active member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia, where he served in the food pantry during the week.

He also picked up food items at Second Harvest Food Bank.

Dale was very mission minded. He served the southeastern United States as well as other countries.

He was very passionate about helping the handicapped and building ramps for them to access their homes.

Left to cherish his memories are his nieces and nephews, Kimberly McCraw, Gregory Dills, Michael Robinson, John Robinson, Christina Robinson Johnson, Katie Robinson Apple, and Bonnie Robinson; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and sister Jane Robinson Dills Tomblin of Little River, SC.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jeff Long and Pastor Mike Rice, will be held 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1729 E Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28054.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave Ste 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
