D. Maxine Nance

D. Maxine Nance, 80, of Gastonia passed away on March 17, 2014 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas. She was born April 25, 1933 in Cleveland County, daughter of the late John E. Greene and Helen Grass Greene. Maxine was a member of Gastonia Second Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Gastonia Second Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Lewis Evans. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain. Maxine is survived by: her loving husband, Clyde Nance; sons, Larry and David Nance; daughters, Robbin Wall, Lee Ann Broach, Sarah Long; sister, Sarah Horne; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: a son; 4 brothers; 1 sister. Memorials may be sent to Gastonia Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 2700 Crescent Lane Gastonia, NC 28052 Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
