Rev. D. H. Lutz

Rev. D. H. Lutz, 81, of Bessemer City, passed away July 5, 2012 at the Hospice House at Wendover in Shelby. He was born August 12, 1930 in Gaston County son of the late Ambrose Lester Lutz and Maggie Harmon Lutz. Rev. Lutz was a retired United Methodist Church Minister who had served for over 40 years thru out Western North Carolina. He was a member of Bethea United Methodist Church in Bessemer City. A celebration of life will be 2:00 on Sunday at Bethea United Methodist Church, Bessemer City officiated by Rev. Tony Greene and Rev. Frank Herman. The family will greet friends and family one hour prior to the brief service at the church. Entombment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Mr. Lutz is survived by: his loving wife of 62 years, Ann "Lavina" Lutz of the home; son and daughter in-law, Randy and Darlene Lutz of Parker Colorado; daughter, Dr. Cheryl Lutz of Kings Mountain. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: two brothers and four sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Bethea United Methodist Church, 605 E.
