Coy Hoyle Moss

Coy Hoyle Moss, 86, went to be with Jesus, Sunday, May 31, 2015 from his residence. He was born in Gaston County, the son of the late James Henry and Laura Bess Moss. Coy attended The Refuge Church of Clover. He was an avid carpenter and was loved by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 17 years, Barbara Moss, his daughter, Shirley Weaver, brother, Robert Moss, grandchildren, Nicholas Barnhill and Christy Beaver, great grandchildren, Sophie, Sadie and Sydni Beaver, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vergie Woods, Lucille Mincey, Gertrude Norris and Mary John Helton, brothers, Haskell, Clarence, Neil and Reece Moss. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, NC, officiated by Pastor Troy Beaver. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 - 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. The family is being served by the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
