On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the age of 92, Coreina Eaves Brandon departed to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 18, 1932, Coreina was the beloved only daughter of the late Charles Lester and Ethel Barrett Eaves. She was also predeceased by her three brothers: Sydney Boyd Eaves, Lester Charles Eaves, and Robert Lawrence (Bud) Eaves.
Coreina was a devoted member of First Wesleyan Church in Bessemer City, NC, where she served the Lord with unwavering faith. Her love for the Lord, her family, and her dear friends was evident in all she did. Known for her creativity, Coreina delighted in making crafts that her family and friends will treasure for years. She loved traveling and exploring new places, with the coast being a favored destination.
Coreina graduated from Bessemer City High School and Gaston College. Initially a hairdresser, she later transitioned into finance, working as a bookkeeper for Nationsbank in Charlotte. To better support her family, she became a key punch operator at Lithium Corporation, working first in Bessemer City and later at the corporate office in Gastonia, NC, where she enjoyed a long and fulfilling career before retiring.
Cherishing her memory are her loving husband of 65 years, Jerry Brandon; her son, Ray Brandon (Tina); her daughter, Teresa Folz (Gordon); three grandchildren, Brandon Folz (Madeline), Ryan Folz, and Benjamin Brandon (Danielle); one great-grandchild, Theodore (Teddy) Folz; her brother, Ted Eaves; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at First Wesleyan Church, 510 East Alabama Avenue, Bessemer City. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation, starting at 2:00pm with Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating. Interment will take place at Westview Gardens.
