Clyde Edward Davis

Clyde Edward Davis, 86, of Kings Mountain, passed away January 13, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born February 9, 1927 in Cleveland County, son of the late Zeb John Davis and Ethyl Edna Floyd Davis. Mr. Davis served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II and the NC National Guard for 33 years. A celebration of Mr. Davis's life will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church, Kings Mountain officiated by Pastor James Lochridge The family will receive friends 2:00-2:45 at the church on Friday. The family will receive friends at other times at the home or at the home of Linda Davis 504 W. Warren St., Shelby. Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, with military honors. Mr. Davis is survived by: his loving wife of 39 years, Joyce Davis; son, Ray Hope (Patricia); daughters, Jean Martin, Mot Davis, Billie Davis (Mucka), Linda Davis, Sarah Bridges (Jeff), Janet Brafford (Tim); sister, Christine Robbins; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: grandson, Scottie Bridges; four brothers; one sister; beloved dog, Marley.
