Claude Taylor Jr.

Mr. Claude Taylor Jr. of York, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord, February 6, 2023. He was born in Sharon, South Carolina on August 27, 1941.

Claude retired the first time from Rutland Plastics in Pineville, NC and then became a dump truck driver where he retired from the job he enjoyed the most from TNT Trucking in Rock Hill, SC. He taught Sunday School for nine years at Bowling Green Freewill Baptist Church in Bowling Green, SC. He loved writing his own songs and singing them in church.

Claude leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Vivian Taylor; two sons, Kris Taylor (Nikki) of Minnesota, and Kelly Taylor (Crystal) of Clover; two daughters, Kim and Karen; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he loved so much.

He was preceded in death by his wonderful mother Cleo Humphries; infant daughter Kristy; and daughter Krystal.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Gary Conrad will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematory at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 3:00 prior to the service.
