Clarence "Cb" Long

Clarence "CB" Long, 64, of Bessemer City, passed away September 24, 2023, at his home.

He was born October 31, 1958, in Houston County, Georgia, son of the late Donald Grier Long Sr. and Nellie Gillam Long.

CB loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with all of them.

He spent his quiet time writing stories and working jigsaw puzzles. He was a huge football and baseball fan, and his favorite baseball team was the Atlanta Braves.

A celebration of CB's life will be held 1-7 pm Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home.

CB is survived by his son, Matthew Long; his daughter, Kristin Lynch; sister, Donna "Cissie" Giles (Kevin); grandchildren, Trinity, Ariel and Christopher Long, Hailee, Nathanial and Abbygail Lynch, Izabella Dodson; great-granddaughter, Lileigh Henderson.

In addition to his parents, CB was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Hogue Long; brothers, Donald Long Jr., Ronald "Scooby" Long.
