Clarence Fred Harris Jr.

Clarence Fred Harris, Jr., 74, of Gastonia, NC, passed away July 11, 2020 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born in Gaston County, NC on April 11, 1946 to the late Clarence Fred Harris, Sr. and Christine Gathins Harris.

Mr. Harris was a member of Upper Room Tabernacle, Gastonia, where he was a singer.  He loved to fish and play horseshoes.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Harris.

Mr. Harris is survived by his son, Joseph Harris, of the home, and a grandson, Matthew Harris.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 at 5:00 pm at the Upper Room Tabernacle, 107 N. Washington St., Gastonia, NC, officiated by Rev. Norman Greene and Rev. Charles R. Harris.
