Clarence Arland Grigg, 84, of Kings Mountain, passed away on July 25, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born September 15, 1928 in Cleveland County, son of the late Ambrose Arland Grigg and Ila Margaret Ross Grigg. Mr. Grigg was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church in Shelby. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p,m. on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Bobby Black. The family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private. Mr. Grigg is survived by; sons, Charles Grigg and wife Debra, Bobby Dean Grigg, Don Grigg and wife Debbie, Bobby Black and wife Traci; Jamie Grigg; daughters, Margie Moss and husband Wayne, Betty Wray; brothers, Clyde Grigg, Carris Grigg and wife Reba; sisters, Earsie Wood, Ola Harmon and husband Larry, Helen Rayfield and husband Roy, Margaret Hastings; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: wives,Dorothy Grigg Hart and Sue Carpenter Black Grigg; son, Marvin Grigg; daughters, Wanda Hodges and Sandra Black.
