Clarence Walter Aldridge, Jr., 77, of Iron Station, NC, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC.
He was born December 16, 1944, in Mecklenburg Co, NC, son of the late Clarence Walter Aldridge, Sr. and Ruth Johnson Aldridge.
He was a US Army Veteran and US Army National Guard Veteran. Rev. Aldridge was an evangelist serving out of Moutainview Agape Church, Kings Mountain, where he was along time member. He was a craftsman soap maker, and retired after many years from Tyco Electronics. He was a friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Steve, Bobby, and Jake Aldridge.
Rev. Clarence is survived by his wife of 21 years, Brenda Aldridge; sons, Clarence Aldridge (Barbara), Scott Moses (Amy), and Eddie Moses; daughters, Donna Teeling (Kraig), Terri Kelly (Bobby), Amy Cain (John), and Amanda Aldridge (fiancé, James Mastroianni); sister, Diane Carlisle; grandchildren, Wendy Hedgepath, Paul Aldridge, Jr., Jessica McCoskey, Charli Floyd, Marika Waters, Christopher Wilson, Johnathan Cain, Analeigh Cain, Holli Davies, and Bennett Moses; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service officiated by Pastor Harry Davis, and Rev. Robert Hull, will be held 2:30pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont, NC.
Rev. Aldridge will lie in state, 12:30-1:30 pm on Thursday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052.
