Clara Moody Johnson

Clara Setzer Moody Johnson,   87, of Gastonia passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living, Gastonia.

She was born May 31, 1928 in Tallapoosa, GA. Daughter of the late James Albert and Dovie Mae Setzer.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Claudia Rhyne and husband Hall of Gastonia;,sister, Edna Jett of Ashville, AL; granddaughter, Jennifer Hardin and husband Paul Dennis Hardin of Gastonia; great grandchildren, Adelai and Imogene Hardin; step daughter, Rita Miner and husband Lee of Durham, SC; favorite nephew, Willard Brown of England; favorite niece, Florence Haskell of Marietta, GA.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Grady, Albert, Charlie and Clinton Setzer; sisters, Ruby Setzer, Daisy Duke, Grace Perry, Mary Owens, Clarace Cheatwood.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm Monday at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC. Officiated by Rev. Jerry Millwood.
