Cicero Austin Harris Jr.

Cicero Austin Harris Jr., 82, of Lowell passed December 1, 2012 at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas. He was born February 19, 1930, son of the late Cicero Austin Sr. and Ethel Tanner Harris. A graveside service will be held 4:00 pm Friday at Edgewood Cemetery, Lowell officiated by Rev. Mike Criswell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. Military Honors will be provided by the Gaston County Military Honor Guard. He was a native of Gaston County, an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion Post 243. He retired from FMC. Mr. Harris is survived by: his son, Gary Harris and wife Tisha; daughters, Sharon Harris, Karen Wilson; brother, Bob Harris and his wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Angela Harris, Dean, Billy, and Linda Wilson, Jessica Ayers, Chris Skidmore; great grandchildren, Cameron Wilson, Madison Harris, Nathan Carter, Kara and Carly Ayers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: his wife, Margaret Crisp Harris; brothers, Bill and Lamar Harris. Memorials may be made to the Gaston Hospice for the Robin Johnson House, P.O.
