Christine Alyce Lee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Alyce Lee, who went to be with the Lord, on September 25, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on August 3, 1941, in Jacksonville, Florida, Christine spent her life creating a warm and loving home in Florida, where she was known for her kind heart and generous spirit. Her and her beloved husband then moved to Grover, NC to spend their later years near family.

As a devoted homemaker, Christine cherished her family above all. She is survived by her loving husband, George L. Lee, Jr.; daughter, Kim Linzy (Pastor Keith); son, G. Leighton Lee, III (Season); grandchildren, Jonathan Linzy, Brian Linzy (Savannah), Riley Linzy, Shepherd Lee and Eden Lee; sister, Linda Parker (Don); 11 nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lois Hanks.

Christine's heart was big, and she touched the lives of many through her involvement with the Morning Star Baptist Church in Shelby, where she found joy in fellowship and community. Before that, she was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church in Starke, Florida, where she also formed lasting friendships.

Christine had a special place in her heart for the ladies of her church, and she loved visiting shut-ins, sharing moments of joy and companionship. Her passion for flowers, especially lilies, brought beauty to her world and to the lives of those around her.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Christine's life together. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Morning Star Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, also at the Morning Star Baptist Church. Christine will be laid to rest at Westview Gardens Bessemer City, North Carolina.

In honoring Christine's memory, let us remember the warmth she brought to our lives and carry forward her legacy of kindness and love.
