Chris (Christopher) Ray Johnson, 51, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC.

He was born June 10, 1972, in Gaston Co, NC.

Chris loved NASCAR, with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver. He loved maneuvering his remote control cars. He loved driving his golf cart. He loved camping with his daddy.

He was preceded in death by his daddy, Henry Johnson; maternal grandparents, Ralph "Pop" and Pearl "Nanny" Champion; paternal grandparents, Ed and Ethel Johnson; uncle, David Johnson; and aunt, Diane Messer.

Chris is survived by his mama and mom, Sandra Johnson West and Wendy West; stepsisters, Carrie West, and April Tims (Chauncey); uncle and aunt, Eddie and Linda Johnson; aunt, Patti Miller; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends 9:30am - 10:30am, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A graveside service officiated by Mr. Glenn Collins, will be held 11:00am, Saturday, at Gaston Memorial Park - 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
