In Loving Memory of Chi Luu

It is with profound sadness, yet with faith and gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of Chi Luu, age 86-a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, faithful Christian, and a man whose strength and determination shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Chi was the beloved husband of Hue Luu, with whom he shared a life built on love, sacrifice, faith, and dedication to family. Together, they worked tirelessly to create a better future for their children and built a home grounded in resilience, hard work, and unwavering commitment.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Hue Luu; his seven children, Thong, Cuong, Ann, Way, Phong, Chris, and David; and his eight treasured grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, Kevin, Lathan, Brayden, Ethan, Colin, and Tanner. His children were his greatest pride and purpose. He dedicated his life to providing for them, supporting them, and encouraging them to pursue success in all they did. Every sacrifice he made was rooted in his love for his family and his desire to create opportunities for his children that he never had himself.

Chi's life was defined by perseverance and resilience. Growing up in Vietnam during a time of hardship, he endured challenges that would test even the strongest of people. He lived through war, served during the Vietnam War, and witnessed struggles that shaped his unwavering character. Through determination, courage, and hard work, he overcame adversity and built a better life for his family.

Starting with little, Chi worked tirelessly to provide for those he loved. He understood the value of sacrifice and never hesitated to put his family's needs before his own. His strength was not only measured by the hardships he endured, but by the life he built and the opportunities he created for his children.

Chi was a proud man who stood firmly by his beliefs and never shied away from speaking his mind. He valued honesty, integrity, and hard work. Those who knew him respected his strength, admired his conviction, and appreciated the love that lay beneath his tough exterior.

Above all, Chi was a man of faith. He was a proud and devoted member of Alexis Baptist Church and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. His faith guided him throughout his life and provided him with strength during both triumphs and trials.

In the last few months of his life, Chi knew his health was declining. Yet even in the face of uncertainty, he demonstrated remarkable peace and trust in God. He often said that if God were to take him, he was at peace and ready. His faith gave comfort not only to himself but also to those who loved him.

The Luu family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, support, and compassion shown by the church family at Alexis Baptist Church. Your kindness during this difficult time has been a tremendous blessing and source of comfort.

While our hearts grieve his loss, we find peace in knowing that Chi's faith has become sight. We rejoice in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and take comfort in knowing that Dad is now in Heaven, free from pain and reunited with his Savior.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his spirit, wisdom, faith, and love will continue to guide and inspire those who carry his memory forward.

Chi Luu will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Hue Luu; his seven children and eight grandchildren; and a family strengthened by his example, grateful for his sacrifices, and proud to carry on his legacy. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and his family rejoices in the assurance that they will see him again.

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, 11:00 AM, at Alexis Baptist Church, 118 Alexis Church Rd. Alexis, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the hurch cemetery.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23
