Chester Gene Davis, born on March 19, 1954, in Shelby, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was the cherished son of the late Hershel and Carrie Falls Davis.
Chester leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra K. Davis; son, Chester Trenton Davis and wife Jessica L. Davis and their children, Adleigh Grace Davis and Chester Aiden Davis, son, Brandon Walter Davis and wife Chelsea L. Davis and the grand dogs; siblings, Roger Davis, Shirley Davis-Williams; Hershel Davis Jr., Catherine Davis-Gibson; countless nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his siblings, Buddy Davis, Donna Davis-Morehead, Aileen Davis-Doty.
A proud veteran of the Navy, Chester dedicated over 30 years of his life to his work at Turbo Conveyor in the conveyor parts manufacturing industry. He was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering loyalty to both his family, friends, and neighbors and colleagues. He took care of everyone, and always there to support everyone as well.
Chester's life was rich with love; he adored his family and treasured the time spent camping, fishing, and grilling together and enjoying a cold beer by the fire. He was known as the "King of Christmas," delighting in the joy of gift-giving and laughter. A natural jokester, his smile was infectious, and he had a gift for storytelling that captivated those around him. His skills in woodworking allowed him to create lasting memories for his family, and he took immense pride in being a Davis.
The family will also host a Celebration of Life for all family members, friends, and former co-workers at a later date to honor his remarkable journey and the impact he had on all who knew him.
Memorial items may be sent to the residence of Sandra and Chester Davis as a testament to the love and support they shared throughout their lives.
Chester Gene Davis will be deeply missed, remembered, and celebrated for the incredible husband, father, grandfather, neighbor, and friend that he was. His legacy of love, humor, and devotion will forever remain in our hearts.
