Cheryl D. Haas

Cheryl D. Haas, 53, of Dallas, passed away June 13, 2014, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville. She was born April 17, 1961, in Gaston County, daughter of Floyd Richard Haas Sr. and the late Barbara Ann Long Haas. Cheryl was a loving mother and sister. She loved life and was an all-around great person. She was a best friend to many people. Along with her mother she is preceded in death by her brother, Rodney Wayne Haas. Along with her father she is survived by son, Jonathan Eric Waters of Dallas; brother, Floyd Richard Haas Jr. and wife Kathy of Rock Hill; sisters, Debby Purkey of Dallas, Karen H. Rhyne and husband Johnny of Bessemer City, Geraldine A. "G.G." Gasdik; friend, Susan Cook; beloved pet, Mya Hope "Hopie". A celebration of life will be held 3 pm on Tuesday, June 17, at Lowell Church of God, 804 W. First Street, Lowell, NC 28098, officiated by Rev. Joe Heffner. The family will receive friends 1:30-2:45 prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
