Cherie Herring

Cherie Herring, 65, of Belmont, passed away July 17, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 21, 1952 in York County, SC, the daughter of the late, Holmer Lee May and Emma Chandler May.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 37 years, Jerry Herring; sons, Jerry Howell and wife, Michelle; Russell Herring and wife, Amanda; daughter, Tina Brandon and husband, Joseph; Frances Davidson and fiancée, Joey Taylor; sister, Flora Dover; grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Christopher, Dylan, Breanna, Aerial and Cooper and great-granddaughter, Karlie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters and her granddaughter, McKenzie Herring.

A celebration of life service, officiated by Pastor James Messer, will be held 6 p.m. Thursday at Catawba Free Will Baptist Church, 301 Cherry Street, Mt. Holly.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.
