It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chastity Lynn Taylor, who left us on February 9, 2026, at the age of 51.

A native of Gaston County, Chastity was born on December 8, 1974, to the late Gary Dean Calhoun and Patricia Hawkins Ruff. She lived in Blacksburg, SC before moving to Hendersonville to receive care for Guillain-Barré Syndrome. There she touched the lives of many. Despite her illness, she remained upbeat and always thanked those who loved and cared for her.

In addition to her parents, Chastity was preceded in death by her grandparents Charles Hawkins and wife Medrea Hawkins; B.D. Calhoun and wife Lela Calhoun.

Chastity worked as a store manager in the retail industry, where her vibrant personality and dedication made her a beloved presence among her colleagues and customers alike. She was known for her love of cooking and her adventurous spirit, often traveling to the mountains where she found peace and beauty. Family meant everything to her. She cherished her children and adored her grandchildren, whom she considered her greatest blessings. Her love extended to her furry companions, with her beloved pit bull, Jodi, holding a special place in her heart.
