Charles Homer Thayer, 86, of Gastonia, passed away February 3, 2015, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1928, in Braxton County, West Virginia, the son of the late, Alfred and Anna Thayer. There will be a private interment at the VA Cemetery in Salisbury, NC. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
