Charles Thomas Stewart

Charles "Charlie" Thomas "Tommy" Stewart, 77, of York, SC, passed away September 1, 2024, at his home.

He was born September 21, 1946, in Gaston County, NC, to the late Rev. Charles and Pauline Pearson Stewart.

Many of his colleagues called him Charlie. His family affectionately called him Tommy. Tommy was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from AMP/Tyco where he worked for 36 years. He was a member of King James Baptist Church in York, SC. Tommy will always be remembered for the love he had for God and his family.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his sisters, Penny Arrowood and Linda Stewart.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Stewart; a niece, Elizabeth Arrowood; and a very special great-niece, Aveya Moss (whom he loved with all of his heart).

A graveside service, officiated by Dr. Robert Hensley and Rev. Lewis Steele, will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy., York, SC 29745.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
