Charles Winford Sahms Sr.

Charles Winford Sahms Sr., 72, of Gastonia, passed away April 13, 2022, at his home.

He was born October 9, 1949, in Gaston County, son of the late Marvin James Sahms and Lillian Drew Sahms.

Charles was a US Marine veteran who proudly served his country.

Charles is survived by sons, Charles Sahms Jr., Randall Lee Sahms, Waverly Adam Sahms; daughter, Virginia Gail Sahms; brother, Willie Douglas Sahms; six grandchildren.

A graveside inurnment service will be held 1:30 pm Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Richard Christopher Jr. and military honors provided by the Gaston County Honor Guard.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
