Charles Michael Sahms

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Michael Sahms, fondly known as Mike, on February 25, 2026, in Gastonia, North Carolina. Born on November 24, 1955, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Mike lived a life filled with love for his family and a passion for many hobbies.

Mike was an easy-going guy who always found joy in the simple things. He loved spending time watching old war movies and never missed a chance to hit the golf course or go fishing. As a devoted sports fan, Mike cheered on the Carolina Panthers during football season and celebrated the Carolina Tarheels during basketball season!

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Micia Sahms and Shanda Collomb; his loving partner, Kelly York; grandchildren, Austin Lollis, Conleigh Breedlove, Kennedy Breedlove, Porter Collomb and Hadley Collomb; who carries on his legacy of love and laughter.

A gathering of family and friends for Mike will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, NC.

Mike's warmth and humor will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever be with those who loved him. Rest in peace, Mike.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Sahms and Martha Stacey Sahms.
