Rev. Charles W. Kinley

Rev. Charles W. Kinley, 74, passed away August 23, 2016 at his residence.  He was born July 21, 1942 in Cleveland County NC and was the son of the late Hubert Walter Kinley and the late Essie Sisk Kinley.  Rev. Kinley was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all.  He was the Pastor of Mill Haven Memorial Baptist Church, Charlotte NC, for seven years and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Gastonia.  He was also the Chaplain for Gaston County Sheriff's Department.

A funeral service will be held 2:30  Sunday at Christ Worship Center 3951 W Franklin Blvd. Gastonia, with Pastors James Drennan, Tim Barrett, and Jimmy Maney.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 6 -8 pm on Saturday at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.

Rev. Kinley is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy L. Kinley; sons, Wayne Kinley and wife Debbie, Mark Kinley and wife Theresa; daughter, Wanda McCall and husband David; grandchildren, Christopher, Greg, Billy, Travis, Anthony, Ryan, Tyler, Austin, Gregory and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Victoria, Hailey, Heather, Caitlyn, Chace, Xavier, Graylon, Brayden, Zaylin, Nakaya, Cadence, Tori and Olivia.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Stiles; brothers, Bobby Dean Sisk, Bill Sisk and Herman Kinley.
