Charles "Toddy Hood" Williams

Charles "Toddy Hood" Williams, 68, of Gastonia, passed away on August 6, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born November 4, 1954, in Gaston County, son of the late Ed and Mary Faye Hood.

Toddy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He retired from Herman Reeves after over 38 years of service.

He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time with himself.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor George Langley.

The family will receive friends Noon-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Joy Williams; son, Jody Williams and wife Lisa; sister, Barbara Anders; grandchildren, Morgan Williams, Taylor Allen and husband Lawson, Payton Williams, Dalton Williams, Nathan Williams; beloved fur babies, Harley and Rufus.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his son, Tony Ray Williams; beloved pet pig, Grunt.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
