Charles "Charlie" Fredrick Davis

Charles "Charlie" Fredrick Davis,68, of Gastonia, formerly from Canton, NC, passed away on April 26, 2017.

He was born February 23, 1949, in Haywood County, son of the late Thomas and Mildred Davis.

Charlie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Stanley.

He was a loving husband, uncle, great uncle and brother-in-law.

Charlie's hobbies were fishing, cooking and entering his "Baby" 69 Super Sport Chevy in car shows.

A celebration of Charlie's Life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, April 30, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 512 Old Mount Holly Rd. Stanley officiated by Pastor Dan King.

The family will receive friends after the service in Founder's Hall.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 37 years, Cynthia Beam Davis; his sister, Patricia Davis Chilton and husband Rob and their two children; his brother, Michael Davis; his mother-in-law, Gilda Rector Beam; brother-in-law, Douglas R. Beam and wife Catherine; nephews, Riley Beam and wife Michele, and Nathan Beam; brother-in-law, Gary Morgan; nieces, Elizabeth Morgan and Lauren Morgan; great- nephew, Jax Queen; great- niece, Kara Howell; and Micah Peeler, loyal friend to Cindy and Charlie.
