Charles Phillip Dye

Charles Phillip Dye Sr., 84, of Kings Mountain, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2017, at Carolinas Medical Center Main, Charlotte.

He was born March 21, 1933, in Cleveland County, son of the late Sam Coleman Dye and Emma Goforth Dye.

Mr. Dye was a member of Central Methodist Church in Kings Mountain.

He served nine years with the National Guard and he loved snake and deer hunting.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Ricky Bracket.

Mr. Dye is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Janice Jacobs Dye; son, Charles Dye Jr. of the home; brother, Eugene Dye of Clover, SC; grandson, Jonathan Phillip Dye.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, John Hobert Dye.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
