Charles Allen "Chris" Harrison III

Charles Allen Harrison III, lovingly known as Chris, passed away on April 11, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 55.

Born on February 8, 1970, in Gastonia, Chris was a proud Army veteran who served honorably as an Air Defense Artillery Specialist until being medically discharged due to injuries sustained during active duty. He carried his sense of duty, resilience, and strength into every part of his life.

Chris had a deep love for aviation and worked as an aviation mechanic, combining skill and passion in a career that meant a great deal to him. He also had a lifelong enthusiasm for racing and building performance cars, spending countless hours in the garage and at the track.

Above all, Chris was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his two sons, Justin Harrison and Cameron Harrison; his grandson, Maverick Harrison; his mother, Dale Harrison; his brother, Ryan Harrison; and his sister, Angela Harrison. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Allen Harrison II.

Chris's legacy is one of love, service, and unshakable spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM on Monday, April 14, at Connections Church, 304 McAdenville Rd., Belmont, NC.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
