Charles Ross Badger Jr.

Charles Ross Badger Jr., 93, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

A native of Gaston County, he was born May 3, 1930, to the late Ross and Annie Mae Badger.

Charles was a member of Myrtle United Methodist Church in Gastonia. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and racing.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Martha Jo Johnston Badger; brother, James Badger; sisters, Lena Jones, Violet Summit, Betty Hawkins; granddaughter, Erin Badger; daughter-in-law, Tera James.

Charles is survived by his sons, David Badger (Amy), Doug Badger; grandchildren, Liza Badger, Katie Reasoner (Zack); special family, Pamela Shubert, Ricky and Savonne Roberts, Freddie Roberts.

A funeral service officiated by Reverend Ken Faulkenbury will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, 11:00 am, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd, Gastonia.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia.
