Charlene "Carolyn" White

September 19, 1939 — September 21, 2025

It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce the passing of Charlene "Carolyn" White, who left this world on September 21, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 19, 1939, in Whitmire, South Carolina, Carolyn lived a vibrant life that brought joy to everyone who knew her. She called Bessemer City, NC, home, where she shared her life with her husband, Roger White.

Carolyn was a talented spinner at Stowe Mills, but her greatest passions lay beyond her profession. With a green thumb and an unwavering love for nature, she delighted in her garden, where her flowers bloomed as beautifully as her spirit. Many will remember her fondly for her cherished moments with her beloved dog, Lola, who brought her endless joy and companionship.

A devoted member of Revival Tabernacle, Carolyn truly cherished her church family. Her faith and kindness touched the lives of everyone in her community. She and Roger loved spending time together, especially during their trips to the mountains and Pigeon Forge, where they created countless cherished memories.

Left to cherish Carolyn's memories are her husband of 29 years, Roger White; daughters, Glenna Mann (Scott) and Rhonda Kelley; grandchildren, Alan Oliver, Joshua Queen, Alison Evans; great grandchildren, Alan Micheal Oliver, Abbie Oliver, Xander Queen, Isis "Ray" Queen, Kura Queen, Onyx Queen, Zylee Queen, Aurora Phoenix Queen, Callen Evans.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Price and Ruth Fields; sister, Linda Bass.

We invite friends and family to join us in honoring Carolyn's vibrant life. A visitation will be held at Revival Tabernacle on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, where stories and laughter will be shared in her memory. The celebration of her life will continue with a funeral service at the same location on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Following the service, Carolyn will be laid to rest at Hollywood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Revival Tabernacle, 212 NC Hwy 27, Stanley, NC, 28164.

Let us remember Carolyn not with tears but with laughs, gratitude, and a spirit that lives on in each of us.
