Charlene "Weezy" Louise Moore

Charlene "Weezy" Louise Moore, 69, of Gastonia, NC, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 10, 2025, at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte.

She was born February 14, 1956, in Blount Co, TN, daughter of the late Charley and Eva Caylor Woodby.

Weezy was a member of Sharon Freewill Baptist Church, of over 46 years. She loved her family, her church family, and to go out to eat with the church ladies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Randy Woodby; and sisters, June Whitehead, Mary Jaske, and Geneva Presley.

Weezy is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Carl M. Moore, Sr.; sons, Carl M. Moore, Jr. (Melody "Mel"), and Doug Moore (Pam); brother, Charles "Butch" Woodby (Donna); sisters, Jeanette Hembree (Connard), Juanita Kuykendall, and Polly Stevens; grandchildren, Dustin Moore, Bryant Moore (Jessica), Bridgette Moore, Brittany Bailey, and Kye Williams; and great-grandchildren, Eli Moore, Carter Moore, Gracie Tarte, and Sophia Lucas.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Odell Cook, will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Sharon Freewill Baptist Church - 410 Reese St., Gastonia, NC. Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery.
