Celia Pressley Smith

Celia Pressley Smith, 62, of York, SC, passed away Saturday, April 27th, 2024.

She was born April 21st, 1962, born in Asheville, NC, to Edmond and Wanda Pressley.

Celia was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She always placed the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love for her family and the Lord was unwavering. She lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds, her two dogs and watching the Atlanta Braves. Her grandson Easton was the light of her life.

Celia leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will be carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Though Celia may no longer be with us in the physical sense, the impact she made on our lives will forever remain. May she rest in eternal peace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Pressley Atkins.

Celia was survived by husband, Ralph Edward Smith Jr.; her two boys, DJ Smith, and Joshua Smith; grandson, Easton Smith; and sister, Denise Pressley Rogers.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor David MacEachern will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, May 3rd, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church - 2200 Auten Road Gastonia NC 28054.

Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the church.
