Cecil Russell Bingham

Cecil Russell Bingham, 83, of Dallas passed away August 18, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born April 6, 1932 in Franklin County, son of the late George Bingham and Clara Bingham Armstrong. Cecil was a member of Victory Hill Baptist Church in Dallas. He was a Korean War Veteran of the US Army where he received a bronze star. He was active in his church with visitations and cooking. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday at Victory Hill Baptist Church - 2300 Philadelphia Church Rd. Dallas, NC with Pastor Sandy Bozeman officiating. The family will receive friends 10 - 10:45 am prior to the service at the Church. Entombment will be in Gaston Memorial Park. Cecil is survived by his sons, Steve Bingham and wife, Debbie; Allen Tony Bingham and wife, Pam; daughter, Teresa Watts; brother, Alvin Armstrong and wife, Mae; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bingham; three brothers and one sister. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
